How To Use ProShow Producer as a Proofing Program
Overview
In addition to creating incredible slide shows, you can also use ProShow Producer as a proofing tool to show your images to clients. Using Producer in this way, you can add a slide number or filename to each image, protect you images with a watermark and upload proofing shows to the Photodex.com website for free!
Applying these features to a slide show only takes a few minutes, and it allows you to better serve your clients with free online proofing. Now, you can join the "print-less proofing" revolution using ProShow Producer.
To Apply Proofing information to Slides:
- After you have added all the images to be proofed to the slide list, click < Options > in the Main Toolbar to launch Show Options.
- Click on < Show Captions >, then click < Macro >.
- From the Show Macros For drop-down list, select < Predefined Macros >.
- Select the macro that corresponds to the information you would like to include on each slide. Recommended macros include: Filename Only, File Date and Slide Number.
- Click < Add & Close >.
- Position the caption as you would like it to appear. Configure other caption settings as desired.
- Click < Done >.

Adding a Watermark
As you can see, every slide has a unique caption that displays information about that particular image. Now, you can add a watermark to every image to protect it.
- Choose Show > Show Options and click on the Watermark button on the left side of the window.
- Select Image and choose any image or logo that you would like to use as a watermark.
- Configure other watermark settings as desired.
- Click < Done >.
To Upload Your Proofing Show
- Click Web Show in the main toolbar or go to Create > Create Web Show to launch the Create Web Show window.
- Click < Uploading > and click < Create Account > if you have not already done so.
- Follow the instructions to create your free sharing account and then enter your Member Name and Password.
- Select the album you would like to upload the proofing show to.
- Configure other Share Show output settings as desired.
- Click < Create >.
Inviting Your Clients to Proof Your Images
Now that you have uploaded the proofing show, simply invite your client to view the show! Your images are protected by a watermark and the captions will allow your client to easily select images to purchase. Proofing your work has never been easier!
