How to Add Video to a Slide Show
Overview
Videos can add an exciting element to your slide shows. You don't need expensive video-editing software to crop videos, either. You can use the built-in video trimmer in ProShow. Videos can also be edited and manipulated with all of the same tools you use on photos. It's never been easier to combine your photos AND videos in an engaging way.
To Add a Video:
- With ProShow open, go to the Folder List and click on the folder containing the video you would like to use.
- Click on the video in the File List and drag it into the Slide List.
- A new slide is created with the video as the only layer.
- You can also add a video as another layer on a slide by holding < CTRL > while dropping the video onto an existing slide.
To trim the video down to a particular section you want to use, open up the Video Trimmer. See how below.
To Trim a Video:
- Add a video to the Slide List. Double-click on the new slide to launch Slide Options.
- In the Layers tab, click < Trim Video >.
- Set Starting and Ending points for the video by clicking in the video at the places where you want it to start and end. Then click the buttons for Start Here and End Here to set the markers.
- Click < OK >.
- In the Layers tab of Slide Options, you can designate the Volume, Speed, Looping and Length of the video clip. Change these settings as desired.
- Click < Done >.
