How To Email a Slide Show
How To Email a Slide Show
Overview
Though E-Mailing is built in to ProShow, it can be a challenge to successfully send a show due to security and anti-virus software. Microsoft Outlook, for example, automatically deletes all EXE files from E-Mail. Since you are sending an EXE when you choose to E-Mail a show from ProShow, this could mean that the recipient will never get to see your show.
That being said, you can set your Preferences in such a way that E-Mails are forwarded through our servers. Press < F3 > to access Preferences. In the Internet tab of Preferences, go to the Outgoing E-Mail Server (SMTP) section. Simply enter 'mail' in the Outgoing (SMTP) Server section, as pictured below.

If, for some reason, the E-mail server will not allow you to connect to it, you can also try your own E-Mail server, which is given to you by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). For example:
E-Mail Address: john.smith@austin.rr.com
Outgoing (SMTP) Server: smtp-server.austin.rr.com (http://www.thedomainworks.com/smtp_settings.php )
Account Name: John.Smith (username given by ISP)
Password: ****** (given by ISP)
The following settings are only necessary if your ISP requires a special outgoing E-Mail authentication method, which requires you to log on to the incoming server before gaining access to the outgoing server. If you know this is not the case. Leave the following 3 boxes in the Incoming E-Mail Server (POP3) section empty:
Incoming (POP3) Server: pop-server.austin.rr.com
Account Name: john.smith (given by ISP)
Password: ****** (given by ISP)
