ProShow 4.1 added hundreds of enhancements and changes based on the requests of users just like you. We took all the requests we've received over the last few years, and dedicated 4.1 to addressing as many of them as possible. You'll find tons of little tweeks and improvements that make using ProShow faster, easier, and more productive than ever. There's over 180 different changes in 4.1 - so what you see below are just a few highlights!

Great New Ways to Share

Upload Slide Shows Directly to Facebook

Now you can upload your slide shows directly to your Facebook page. They'll show up as an HD video that your clients, friends and family can click and watch. It's so easy; just create your slide show in ProShow Producer like normal, then hit the 'Upload to Facebook' button and your entire slide show will be sent to your page. Build buzz about your business and get your slide shows out there for everyone to see and comment on!

Upload Slide Shows Directly to Vimeo

Do you have a free or premium Vimeo account? Now you can upload your slide shows to Vimeo directly from ProShow, even in HD! Just enter in your username and password and go! Your slide shows will be sent directly to your Vimeo account for all to see! Great for embedding videos onto your blog or website. Vimeo's fresh and contemporary playback controls make your slide shows look even better!

Announce New Show Uploads via Twitter

Use Producer's new Twitter feature to automatically announce show uploads. A great way to keep your tweets fresh and up-to-date and garner new followers! When you upload a slide show to Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo or your Photodex online sharing account, ProShow will automatically create a new tweet announcing your show and providing a link for your followers to view it. Your URLs will automatically be shortened.

New Theora Video Output

Added new video output option for Theora. What's Theora you ask? Theora is an emerging video format that could quite possibly be the future of web video. In a nutshell, the new iteration of HTML (HTML5) is currently on the lookout for a new standard format for web video and Theora is in the lead! We're giving you the ability to output to this format directly in ProShow before any other slide show software! You'll be ready and prepared when any major shifts in web video standards happen.

Work Faster with Slide Styles

Streamlined Slide Styles

We've updated the Slide Styles feature to make it easier for you to manage, filter and add Styles to your personal library. You'll experience an enhanced Manage Slide Styles dialog and greatly improved speed when accessing a large library of Styles. Here's just a few things that have been updated:

• Faster loading and sorting. Style lists are now cached, so they only need to be loaded the first time they are accessed or when they are changed, saving you time and making it easier to navigate a larger library of slide styles.
• Ability to import multiple Slide Styles at once using the Manage Slide Styles dialog, saving you loads of time when importing large Slide Style libraries.
• Added ability to install a slide style by double-clicking from Windows, or by selecting 'Open' when downloading a style from the web.
• Enhanced the look of the Slide Styles list to make the layers and aspect ratio information more readable. Added the recommended timing to each item in the list.
• Added option to filter slide styles by aspect ratio of current show. Select Match Show to display only styles that match the aspect ratio of the current show.
• Enhanced the Slide List by forcing it to display newly added slides.
• Added multi-category support for slide styles.
• Enhanced Manage Styles dialog now appears larger, and displays a variety of information about the selected style.
• Added new Slide Styles list mode which shows only the style name, aspect ratio, and layer count, enabling more styles to appear in the list at once.
• One-click access to the Slide Styles manager via the Slide Menu in Producer's main interface.

Enhanced Slide Options

Improved Preview in Slide Options

Working in the Slide Options dialog just got easier! Use new layer and caption outlines to easily rotate layers or change their size. Experience greatly improved preview performance when working with complex and multi-layer slides and use new keyframe markers to quickly see how layers move in the preview.

Improvements to Working in Slide Options

Back by popular demand! Ability to set Slide's time in Slide Options. We also improved upon this feature by giving you even more control. Now you can set the Slide's time, transition in and out!

Improved Layers List

Experience a redesigned Layers List that makes it easier to work with layers in your slides. New indentions show the relationship between nested layers which allow you to work easier and faster.

Improved Captions List

The redesigned Captions List makes it easier to work with captions on your slides by displaying your captions in the font you've selected.

General Enhancements

Improvements for Adding Content to Shows

Now you can double-click any photo in the File List to add it to your show. Also use the new right-click option for adding a file or selected files on a single new slide in your show.

All New Help Documentation and Manual

The all new ProShow Producer 4.1 manual includes over 500 pages of documentation. It's filled with examples of key features and concepts and teaches with an instructional approach, rather than simply describing buttons and features. What's better? It's available online in PDF format on the Photodex website, in a printed manual format and is built-in each copy of the software in the Help section.

Improved Slide List

Now you can rename a slide from the Slide List by right-clicking on the slide. Also experience improved highlighting when dragging additional layers into a slide.

Improved File Listing

Customize thumbnail sizes in the File List. Choose from a variety of sizes or set your own custom size. You'll also experience improved indicators for what's been used in your show.

Improved Status Bar

The improved status bar now displays more information about currently selected slides including total time of selected slides and the number of selected slides.
