Photodex Corporation Releases Version 5.3 of the CompuPicTM Family of Digital
Content Managers.
Austin, TX February 1, 2001 - Photodex Corporation, a leading graphics
software publisher, today released the 5.3 version of the popular CompuPic
and CompuPic Pro digital content managers. With new features such as
Configurable Actions, Batch Rename, and uploading to Printroom.com, CompuPic
and CompuPic Pro enable the experienced and novice graphics enthusiasts to
manage high volumes of digital images.
Configurable actions (predetermining the associated application with the
file type) and batch rename (renaming compressed files without losing image
quality) are two new features in the downloadable CompuPic Pro software.
The download, with a 30% reduction in download size from the previous
version, is a fully packed digital content manager available for a 15-day
trial from the company's website, photodex.com.
In addition to new the new features, CompuPic and CompuPic Pro now support
photo uploading to Printroom.com. Printroom.com is a print fulfillment site
offering prints of photos uploaded to the site, or mailed in on CD-Rom.
The CompuPic family is available in two versions. The standard version
($39.95) is a basic viewing, organizing, image enhancing utility offering
cropping, text overlays, picture attachment e-mail, along with many other
features. CompuPic Pro ($99.95) is available for the more focused graphics
enthusiast. With features such as Picture CD archival, webpage generation,
and batch conversions, including all of the features available in the
standard version, CompuPic Pro is a good asset for the tome conscious
graphics enthusiast.
CompuPic Pro orders and optional CompuPic CD orders now include an
attractive perfect-bound manual covering both programs, a handy keyboard
shortcut template and a quick-start guide. This is in addition to the CD
containing the software.
