CompuPic® 5.2 -Digital Content Management Made Easy
Austin, Texas - November 10, 2000 Photodex Corporation, the leading publisher of digital
content management systems, today announced that the CompuPic 5.2 and CompuPic Pro 5.2,
the popular digital content managers, have been released. These substantial upgrades add
power and compatibility for CompuPic users to make effective use of the newer Windows®
operating systems and photo oriented internet sites without the complexity normally found
with digital content management.
Photodex provides two versions of the CompuPic content managers to cover the varied needs
of end users. CompuPic 5.2 and CompuPic Pro 5.2 provide quick and elegant viewing, editing,
conversion, thumbnail web page creation, text overlay, cropping, rotation, image enhancement
and adjustment, color correction, catalog creation, slide show presentation and Maxi-Show
presentation. CompuPic is the only product available providing Maxi-Shows, which display
multiple simultaneous images, sounds or videos at the same time.
CompuPic 5.2, available for download at http://www.CompuPic.com, is fully functional while
the user evaluates the software and decides to purchase. The software has to be good, as
the consumer sees, feels and uses what they are deciding to buy. CompuPic may be purchased
for $39.95, which includes a custom registration key, support forever and free upgrades for
one year. Photodex focuses on user interface and product stability because the user gets
to test-drive the product before purchasing. Photodex has demonstrated great success with
the "try-before-you-buy" business model for over a decade, years ahead of the rest of the
software industry.
CompuPic Pro 5.2, available for download at http://www.CompuPic.com, is also fully functional
as the user evaluates and decides to purchase. Unlike CompuPic 5.2, CompuPic Pro 5.2 has powerful
web page generation features, an all new instant drop shadow wizard and the industry-first ability
to create Picture CDs using standard CD-R drives. Photodex is the first company to have provided
a simple way for consumers to write Picture CDs using off-the-shelf computer hardware, complete
with licensed viewing software included on each Picture CD. Consumers and businesses are now
capable of cheaply creating Picture CDs in their own homes or offices without interacting with
a photo lab.
All versions of CompuPic also create digital greeting cards through DigitalGreetings.com, quickly
email any kinds of files to friends and family without leaving CompuPic, support to several free
photo sharing internet sites, and create image file and printed catalogs. CompuPic features
always use WYSISYG previews, which sets CompuPic apart from it's few competitors.
