Photodex Corporation Introduces CompuPic for Macintosh
First full-featured thumbnail viewer and file manager for Macintosh market will be
generally available in October
Austin, Texas - October 22, 1997 - Photodex Corporation, a leading provider of
innovative imaging and multimedia applications, announces a Macintosh version
of its popular CompuPic Multimedia Viewer/File Manager software. With just a
handful of competitors in the Mac market, Photodex is introducing the first
multitasking, feature-rich file manager and thumbnail viewer for the Mac OS
that supports all popular multimedia file formats.
Introduced as a PC-based product in 1995, CompuPic for Windows has enjoyed huge
success with more than 1 million copies distributed primarily over the Internet.
Photodex expects to make the Mac version generally available to users in
October from its Web site, www.photodex.com. The company's "try before you
buy" policy will let individuals download CompuPic for Mac over the Internet
for 15 days of free, unlimited use prior to purchasing it for $39.95.
Discounted pricing for multi-user licensing will also be available.
