Photodex Launches ProShow 5 with Dazzling New 3D Slideshow Effects
ProShow Gold and ProShow Producer 5 offer new 3D tilt effects, GPU acceleration and a redesigned UI.
Austin, TX, January 17, 2012 – Photodex today announced version 5 of its award-winning ProShow Gold and ProShow Producer products. ProShow is an intuitive software tool that lets people easily mix photos, video clips and music together into polished video slideshows. The release of version 5 includes more than 300 updates as well as some major new features designed to improve the user interface and add unprecedented effects to users' slideshows.
The redesigned user interface (UI) brings extensive changes with larger, easier to view previews and work areas, improved slide editing workflow, improved keyframing, a new effects manager and new UI workspaces with unique program views. All of these updates enable users to see their work in greater detail and provide a new centralized layout for greater efficiency.

ProShow 5 offers 300 new features and enhancements, including:
- GPU Acceleration – ProShow 5's GPU Acceleration delivers higher resolution playback in real time allowing users to see their photos, videos and slideshow previews in a new clarity and in full HD resolution. Without any changes to the user's system, ProShow 5 offers increased performance, higher quality show previews and snappier UI interactions.
- SmugMug Integration – Users can now publish slideshows directly to SmugMug by selecting the SmugMug option. ProShow will automatically render and send HD videos to users' SmugMug galleries.
- New Slide Styles and Transitions – Hundreds of new, built-in slide styles and transitions with new 3D tilt effects offer new ways to keep user's slideshows looking fresh, fun and modern.
- Updated Wizard – The all new wizard offers automatic show creation with more flexibility. Users can now re-mix an entire show or just a selected group of slides and choose to use an 'Auto' energy level which will time a show's audio and visuals to end perfectly at the end of a song.
